Very tasty, quite budget, easy to prepare caviar. In winter, when vegetables are not as abundant as in summer, this recipe will be very useful. This caviar can be served as an appetizer, with meat, pasta or potatoes. I like this caviar just with bread to eat. I hope you will also like this version of caviar.
Dice the onion and grate the carrots on a large grater. Fry the onion in a small cauldron in hot oil until transparent.
Then add the carrots and stir-fry for a few more minutes.
Add the peeled grated Apple, Bay leaf and salt, and mix.
Add water. Simmer uncovered over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, for about 40-50 minutes until the liquid has evaporated. Vegetables should become very soft and rich. If the water boils off earlier - you can add a little. Cover the cauldron with a lid and leave to cool on the stove.
Grind the finished caviar with a blender. Or you can not chop, the vegetables are very well cooked.
Onion caviar is very tasty, simple and budget-friendly.
And if you also eat such caviar with homemade bread, it will be perfect!
