Boil the potatoes in salted water and cut them into small cubes. Fillet of salted herring cut into pieces 1 cm wide. Cut the onion into half rings. Cut the pickled cucumbers into small cubes.
In a salad bowl, combine the potatoes, herring, pickles and onion (leave some of the onion to serve). Season everything with mayonnaise and mix everything thoroughly. Put the salad on a plate, sprinkle the remaining onion on top, add the chopped boiled eggs and garnish with a sprig of dill.
