This hearty, juicy and very pleasant-tasting salad belongs to the German cuisine. Traditionally winter, it occupies an important place on Christmas tables in Germany and other Western European countries. All the ingredients are harmoniously selected, the salad is sooo interesting and delicious!
Prepare the ingredients for the salad. Pre-cook the potatoes, eggs and beets that are present in the original recipe. I took pickled beets for piquancy, such as many Housewives now prepare. In my opinion, the taste only won.
Peel the Apple from the seeds and skin, cut into cubes and sprinkle with lemon juice.
Dice the boiled potatoes and pickles. Fold the slicing into a bowl.
Cut the boiled egg like a potato, and chop the sweet red onion smaller.
Cut the salted herring and pickled beets into cubes. Combine the slicing in one bowl.
Prepare a salad dressing with yogurt, mayonnaise and mustard. Pepper to taste and stir thoroughly. If you think that there will be little salt in the salad, then add it. I didn't salt it.
Pour the prepared dressing over the slicing and mix gently.
