Milk and cream pour into the pan, add vanilla extract, a pinch of salt (optional) and bring the mixture almost to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.

After the first 45 minutes, remove the container with the mixture freezing at the edges and mix it very vigorously with a spatula or whisk, completely breaking the formed "crystals". Then continue to get and mix the freezing mixture every 30 minutes for 3-4 hours!
