I decided to cook popular Hong Kong waffles. I studied the recipes available on the Internet. All of them turned out to be almost identical, only sometimes they differed in the cooking process. Come on in, I'll share my experience.
Sift the flour into a bowl, add baking powder and corn starch, and mix.
Beat the eggs with sugar until they turn white and increase 2-3 times, add condensed milk, vegetable oil and water, mix.
Pour the liquid mass to the dry ingredients, mix with a whisk, add a couple of drops of vanilla extract, and mix again.
Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 60 minutes.
I tried to bake waffles immediately without cooling in the refrigerator. They turned out soft, not crunchy.
That's my Apothecary. It is 2 times larger than standard models. But I chose it because of the power of 1400 watts. Thanks to this, it heats up and cooks relatively quickly. Take the dough out of the refrigerator and let it warm up to room temperature for 15 minutes. We will bake waffles on a special panel for Hong Kong waffles.
Turn on the waffle iron and wait until the red indicator lights up ready to work.
Pour the dough, lower the lid.
And bake until Golden brown.
Hot waffles are immediately wrapped in an envelope. I put them in a glass and let them cool in this position.
The waffles are huge. I got 2 such waffles and another smaller one (the dough was not poured over the entire area) - I liked it the most.We choose fillers at our discretion. For example, ice cream balls and berries.
She also cooked with cottage cheese filling. It is better to spread it with balls, too. Bon Appetit!
