- Prepare the crackers: cut the cake from the loaf, cut the pulp into cubes. Place the sliced loaf on a baking sheet, sprinkle with butter and sprinkle with seasoning or salt. Bake on low heat until golden brown. You can cook crackers in a frying pan, as I did, but crackers from the oven turn out tastier.
