Chicken Rolls with Cottage Cheese and Plums Recipe
Chicken thigh rolls with cottage cheese and dried plums wrapped in bacon are a great hot appetizer and decoration of the festive table. They are very tasty, juicy and flavorful. Rolls can be wrapped in advance and fried just before the meal.
For the rolls, I used chicken thighs without skin and bone. Very convenient semi-finished product. But a sliced chicken breast is quite suitable.
Season the meat with salt and pepper and smear with cottage cheese and herbs. I do not beat off layers of meat, it is already well prepared and turns out juicy and soft.
In the middle, put a few slices of dried plums. Dried plums have been a fashionable and delicious snack for several years, which the housewives themselves dry in the oven with spices. The site has recipes.
Instead of dried plums, you can use fresh ones, but they will have a lot of moisture. You can use prunes, but they have a more pronounced taste and aroma.
Roll the chicken pieces into a roll and wrap them in strips of raw bacon. It took me two strips for each roll.
Preheat the pan and fry the rolls over moderate heat on all sides until golden brown. If you doubt the complete readiness of the rolls, then they can be sent back to the oven for 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. I don't need an oven.
The rolls are juicy, flavorful and very tasty. I will say without modesty - they will decorate your festive table!
