This fruit ice is perfectly refreshing in hot weather! Hibiscus combined with the acidity of lemon juice and fresh lemon balm create a truly harmonious combination! It is nice that the dessert is made from natural ingredients, so you can safely give it to children. A beautiful color perfectly lifts the mood...
Mix the sugar and Melissa with 1 Cup of water in a saucepan.
Put the pan on medium heat and wait for the sugar to completely dissolve. This process takes 3-5 minutes.
Add the hibiscus, reduce the heat and cook for 10-15 minutes.
Pour the syrup into a container of sufficient volume, first removing the leaves of Melissa and hibiscus flowers as desired. (The flowers are edible and can also be added to other dishes. They are a common ingredient in Latin American and Caribbean cuisine.)
Add the lemon juice, a pinch of salt and 3 cups of water, and mix thoroughly. Pour into ice cream molds and place in the freezer for 4-6 hours.
