- To make it a little easier, I take chicken thighs without bones and cook them with onions, garlic, carrots, spices, including salt. So you will not need to cook carrots separately, and as a bonus you will get an excellent broth for other dishes. Cut all the other ingredients as you are used to, plus a juicy ripe pear. Season with mayonnaise or another favorite sauce.
