- 500 gram Fish fillet
- 1 piece Carrot
- 1 piece Onion
- 2 pieces Tomatoes
- 2 pieces Celery root
- 2 tablespoons Ketchup
- Sugar
- 300 ml Water
- Allspice (to taste)

- Cut the onion into half rings, grate the carrots on a coarse grater, cut the celery stalks into medium cubes. Fry the vegetables in vegetable oil until soft. Add spices, ketchup and sugar. Grate the tomato on a coarse grater. Mix everything and fill it with water. Stir and simmer all together for another 5 minutes over medium heat.
- Cut the fish fillet quite large, add a little salt. Put it with the vegetables. Mix gently so that the fish is covered with vegetable marinade. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer over medium-low heat for 20 minutes. Do not stir the fish more during stewing. The fish is ready to serve with your favorite side dish.
