Turkish Style Meat Pie Recipe
I wanted to cook something new and original from minced meat. I remembered that I have a cookbook "The best minced meat dishes", leafed through it and found an interesting recipe, as always, I had to add additives on my own, adapt them to my own desires and capabilities. The result is a wonderful, juicy inside and crispy outside meat pie. In addition, it is not quite troublesome in preparation and simple in composition.
Servings 6
Ingredients
- 375 grams Flour
- 4 pieces Egg
- Salt
- 500 gram Minced meat
- Vegetables (frozen)
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 3 tablespoons Butter
- Black pepper (ground)
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons Milk
Instructions
- Sift the flour into a bowl. Mix the eggs with 3 tablespoons of water and a large pinch of salt and knead the dough. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside for 30 minutes.
- Fry the minced meat in a frying pan.
- Then add the frozen vegetable mixture (I had "Lecho": bell pepper, tomatoes, carrots, onions), garlic, season with salt and pepper. Fry for 10 minutes and let the filling cool slightly.
- Divide the dough into 14 parts. Roll out 12 of them on a floured surface into strips about 6 cm wide and 1 mm thick.
- Grease a strip of dough with melted butter, put the filling on it and roll it into a roll. We do the same with all 12.
- The two remaining pieces of dough should be molded together and rolled out of them into a square with a side of 50 cm . Grease the baking dish with oil and put a large sheet of dough on it. Place the resulting rolls tightly to each other in a mold on a layer of dough. Cover the rolls with the edges of a large sheet of dough and lightly pinch the edges. Mix the remaining melted butter with milk and pour the resulting mixture over the cake.
- Bake in a preheated 220 degree oven for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve directly on the table in a baking dish.
