Gratin is a baked dish made of various products, invented in France, its main distinguishing feature is a delicious baked crust. Many recipes of this dish contain a huge, in my opinion, amount of cheese, butter and cream, completely clogging the delicate aroma of vegetables and other products, and an appetizing golden crust is perfectly obtained with another approach.
Peel the potatoes, cut the potatoes and zucchini into round pieces, 0.5 cm thick, add salt and pepper, add nutmeg, crushed and chopped garlic without a central core, lubricate the refractory form with butter and put the "packages" of potatoes and zucchini (see photo)
Grate the cheese and bread, mix the bread crumbs and grated cheese, sprinkle liberally, and put the vegetables on top.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the gratin until it has a nice and fragrant crust.
Serve it with fresh vegetables and salads.
