Wash tomatoes with water, cut in half and cut the stalk.
Clean greens finely chop and mix with chopped garlic, black and red (optional) pepper.
For marinade mix water, ketchup, salt and sugar.
Put layers in a pan with a wide bottom layer of tomatoes cut up on them greens, and so on until the end. Pour all the marinade. The marinade should almost cover the tomatoes. If it doesn't, pour some more water. Refrigerate for 48 hours.
