- Chop the cabbage into thin strips, cut the onion into half rings, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. We send everything to a saucepan with vegetable oil, add spices, I have turmeric, cumin and ground black pepper, salt, add water, put on fire, cover with a lid and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Add tomato paste to taste. I like both with tomatoes and without them, but my husband liked cabbage with tomatoes more. Use spices to your liking.
