This salad is from the student days , when all recipes were written in a special notebook (I think this is familiar to many). The notebook is long gone, and the salad still pleases with its taste. It is fresh, light and does not bother you at all. With all the simplicity of preparation and composition in the season of pomegranates , this salad always takes its place on our festive table.

- Clean the pomegranate seeds . Pomegranate is better to choose sweet and sour , with sour it turns out not so delicious. If the pomegranate is sweet, the acid can be adjusted by adding more lemon juice. And an important point - the pomegranate seeds should be quite soft, you can take the so-called "seedless" varieties .
- Mix all the ingredients ( leave some of the pomegranate seeds for decoration), add the onion along with the marinade. Add mayonnaise and mix. The amount of mayonnaise will depend on your personal preferences and the juiciness of the cabbage. I usually have 1-2 tablespoons. I tried to replace the mayonnaise in this salad, but I have to say, mayonnaise is best here. Put the salad in a serving dish, garnish with the remaining pomegranate seeds and serve.
