Shortbread with Orange Filling Recipe

An amazing combination of crumbly, crispy shortbread cookies with fragrant filling, pleases not only the taste, but also the eye. And what a beautiful design the pie has. Ingredients
- 320 gram Flour wheat / Flour
- 2 pieces Chicken eggs
- 160 gram Butter
- 60 gram Sugar powder
- 2 tablespoons Milk
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 0,5 teaspoon Salt
- 5 pieces Orange
- 3 tablespoons Sugar
- 1,5 tablespoons Starch
Instructions
- Add salt, powdered sugar and baking powder to the sifted flour. Mix well.
- Grate the butter on a grater.
- Grind with flour into fine crumbs.
- Add eggs and milk.
- Knead the dough quickly. Transfer to a bag and put in the freezer for 20 minutes.
- Preparing the filling. Peel the oranges and remove the seeds.
- Whisk with a blender. Add sugar and starch.
- Cook until thickened. The filling has completely cooled down.
- Roll out the dough on parchment into a circle with a diameter of 30-32 cm. In the center, mark a circle of smaller diameter.
- In a circle we make incisions with a width of 8 mm. Bend one strip.
- Roll it into a roll.
- Two adjacent strips are connected to each other, forming a petal.
- Similarly, we form all the other petals.
- Lubricate the petals with yolk.
- Put the orange filling in the middle.
- Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.
- Bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
