A very tasty and budget recipe, all the necessary products will be found at any hostess. The cake turns out delicious and tender, it just melts in your mouth, the combination of cherries with chocolate is always successful.
Separate the whites from the yolks. We have a glass of 200 ml, we measure all the ingredients with it. Beat the yolks a little with a mixer, then add sugar and vanilla sugar, beat them to lighten and slightly increase in volume.
Pour in the sunflower oil, stir, then milk, stir again with a mixer. Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder. Mix the dough well with a spatula, so that there are no lumps.
My form is 24 by 28 cm, smear it with sunflower oil, and then sprinkle with flour and distribute it over the form or cover it with parchment paper.
Pour out the dough, distribute it in the form.
Spread the cherries on the dough. I had frozen, I defrosted it, you can take other berries, or you can do it without them, just dough.
Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 20 minutes. We check the readiness with a wooden stick.
While the pie is baking, add a pinch of salt to the whites and beat them well, then gradually add sugar, vanilla and whisk until the sugar dissolves and we get a stable white mass. Meringue is checked, if it remains in place when turned over, then it is well beaten.
We take the pie out of the oven and spread the meringue on top, right on the hot pie. We distribute the meringue evenly and send it to the oven. Reduce the heat to 100 degrees, bake for 5-10 minutes, then open the oven door and leave the cake to cool.
On top, you can simply sprinkle cocoa, or you can melt chocolate with milk and pour icing.
Cut into pieces and serve with tea.
The cake turns out very tasty, moderately sweet, with a slight sourness of cherries. Bon Appetit!
