Cheese Fondue on Dutch Recipe
Before that, I tried to cook cheese fondue several times, but apparently everyone came across the wrong recipes.... some kind of tasteless muck. And so - after all, we decided to fulfill an old dream for the old new year - a cheese treat! It would be very tasty.
Servings 4
Cook Time 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 piece Bread
- 300 gram Hard cheese Edam, Dutch, Gouda, etc. - better assorted, but not necessarily
- 2 tablespoons Alcohol gin
- 2 teaspoon Corn flour
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 2/3 glass Milk
- 1 piece Onion
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Grate the cheese on a coarse grater or finely chop it.
- Rub the walls of the saucepan (fondue molds) with onions.
- Rub the corn flour through a sieve.
- Mix cornmeal with gin until smooth.
- Prepare the croutons: cut the bread into large cubes (about 2 cm by 2 cm), fry in a dry frying pan.
- Pour the milk into the fondue pan, turn on the burner and bring the milk to a boil, stirring constantly so that no foam forms.
- In the milk ready to boil, add the cheese and, without ceasing to stir, wait until the cheese begins to melt.
- When the cheese melts, add cumin.
- Add flour mixed with gin.
- And pepper to taste.
- Wait two or three minutes, do not forget to mix, turn down the heat in the burner and start cooking: "put" croutons on special fondue sticks, dip in cheese, roll out well - and into your mouth! Don't forget to spice up your meal with friendly company, good wine, conversation and a positive mood!
