Strudel with Crab Sticks, Spinach and Mascarpone Cheese Recipe
I love fast, delicious and simple pastries. Such a roll can be baked for dinner, served with chicken broth, you can eat a piece for breakfast, washed down with a cup of your favorite coffee, or take it with you to work for a snack, wrap the children at school, take them on a picnic, on the road, in general, it is very convenient in all senses. Ingredients
- 250 gram Puff pastry
- 400 gram Spinach frozen
- 150 gram Mascarpone or other cream cheese, cream cheese
- 15 pieces Crab sticks
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil or vegetable
- 3 tablespoons Cream (10%)
- 1 piece Chicken egg for lubrication rolls
- 2 tablespoons Ketchup or any other tomato sauce
- Sesame
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- This is almost the entire simple set for our strudel.
- Defrost the spinach, squeeze out all the excess water, chop finely In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil, fry the spinach for a couple of minutes, add 3 tablespoons of cream, salt. Stir, simmer for another 1-2 minutes, turn off the heat, cool the spinach.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry into a rectangle measuring 25 cm. 35 cm. Carefully transfer the dough to a clean kitchen napkin. Brush the surface of the dough with tomato sauce (ketchup).
- Put the spinach on the dough, not reaching the edges of 1-2 cm.
- Spread mascarpone cheese on top of spinach.
- Lay out the crab sticks.
- And carefully, using a napkin, roll the dough into a roll, while first bending the edges of the dough (1-2 cm) inside.
- Transfer the roll to a baking sheet covered with baking paper, grease with beaten egg on top, sprinkle with nigella (sesame) and bake in a preheated 180 gr. oven for 25-30 minutes.
- The roll is good both hot and cold.
