- This recipe I spied a couple of years ago in the network (I do not remember who), I liked it and periodically cook for Breakfast under the order of my wife. After the next order, I decided to share it with you, maybe someone will like it... Despite the long list of ingredients, the recipe is very simple and is prepared fairly quickly, all products (except flour and eggs) are purely conditional, you can safely replace without loss of quality - the main principle. So, let's get started...
- Then add the flour and baking powder, mix everything well. The dough should be slightly thinner than on pancakes, but a little thicker than on pancakes. If you use baking soda instead of baking powder, then you do not need to extinguish it, the fermented milk product will perfectly cope with this itself.
- Then heat a small frying pan, preferably with a non-stick coating, over medium heat, add oil, ladle the dough, cover with a lid and fry for about three to five minutes, it all depends on the stove and pan. The pan should preferably be about fifteen centimeters in diameter, then the tortillas will turn out plump and lush, but the larger the diameter, the thinner the tortillas are, but they are also delicious. My frying pan is 18 cm, the thickness of the tortilla is about 1 cm.
- After the bottom is gilded, carefully turn the tortilla with a spatula to the other side, cover with a lid and bring to readiness, making sure that it does not burn. Immediately I want to give a little advice: the first time not everyone can accurately turn over such a tender tortilla, so it is better to practice once, so that the morning was not spoiled by a failed Breakfast. I had already passed this - my first tortilla did not want to turn over at all, it tore and fell apart to hide the traces of shame from my wife, I had to quickly push the hot one into my mouth until I saw it...
- Ready-made tortillas are put in a plate in a stack, so that they do not cool down. From this amount of dough, I get five pieces. In the photo, one of them didn't live to see the photo shoot - she was shamelessly stolen by her hungry wife... We set the table, put the remaining tortillas, brew tea, coffee or pour homemade hot milk, call the household and start the most important meal of the day-Breakfast!
