For the dough, mix the sifted flour with baking powder, grate cold butter, RUB into crumbs. Add the yolks, sour cream and knead the soft dough. Divide the dough into two parts, wrap in a plastic bag and send in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours, you can overnight.
For the filling, add a pinch of salt to the chilled whites and whisk into a fluffy foam. Then continuing to whisk, gradually add a glass of sugar. You should get the meringue with a persistent peaks. Add a pack of strawberry jelly to the meringue and mix well.
At the cooled dough, cut a small piece and thinly roll out the size of the form with a diameter of 24 cm. Then spread the dough in a form covered with parchment.
On the dough spread 1/3 of the beaten meringue, smooth.
Top with sliced strawberries. I took frozen, completely defrosted, literally 5-10 minutes from the freezer. Sprinkle with coarsely chopped nuts.
Take the dough and RUB on top of a large grater. We will have three cakes, so divide the dough and filling into three parts. Bake the cakes in a preheated 180 degree oven for 30 minutes.
While baked cakes, prepare the cream. In a saucepan, pour 500 ml of milk, add sugar and vanilla sugar, put on the fire until boiling. In the remaining 200 ml of milk, pour 2 packets of vanilla pudding, mix well. In boiling milk pour the mixture with pudding and stirring cook until thick. then remove from heat and cover with cling film in contact, leave to cool completely.
When the cream and cakes cool, take 200 grams of butter at room temperature, beat it with a mixer and gradually adding the cream continue to beat. We get a fairly thick custard.
I decided to add strawberry puree to it, it's strawberries crushed with a blender with sugar and then frozen. If you do not have mashed potatoes, you can just smear with cream, it will also be delicious. I added 10 tablespoons of mashed potatoes and mixed well. It turned out very tasty strawberry cream.
Put the cake together. On the cakes spread a thick layer of cream. Then leave to soak overnight. To cake is well stabilized, you can put it on a detachable baking dish or cooking ring.
